Google says, “Android 12L a special feature drop that makes Android 12 even better on large screens”. The L-branded Android 12 OS has optimized and polished system UI for large screen devices. The new UI changes are going to reflect first on devices more than 600dp of screen size, on bigger displays, there’s a new two-column notification shade, lock screen, and other system pages. Android 12L knocks up with new multi-tasking capabilities, it has a new taskbar, which allow users to easily drag and drop second app to enter the split-screen mode, not only this, but users can easily hide the taskbar whenever they want with a simple gesture. The next major highlight of large screen Android 12 OS is the improved app compatibility experience with visual and stability improvements, in case the app is not optimized for the large screen, then it optimizes app for large display. These are some major attractions of upcoming Android 12L, we can expect a few more features coming to the new OS.
Android 12L Developer Preview
Android 12L Developer Preview goes official for developers for testing purposes. Developers can test and optimized their apps by using Android 12L emulator. Google shares the Android 12L preview timeline, the first beta is coming in the month of December. As per the information shared by Google, there will be three beta builds, coming in December, January, and February. We can expect the final release in the month of March or starting April 2022. The OS is going to hit the big screen devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold3, Fold2, and more. The beta program of Android 12L is going to open in the month of December for these phones.
