Last week Apple released the iOS 15.6 release candidates as well as the iOS 16 public beta. And all the good stuff is now going to be available in iOS 16 and not in the iOS 15 build. Because of this many users would like to change the beta profile to iOS 16 to try out the new features. Well, it is currently not stable enough to install. You can check here whether you should install the iOS 16 beta or not. Along with iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6, Apple also released watchOS 8.7, tvOS 15.6, macOS 12.5 and HomePodOS 15.6. Both iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 carry the same build number 19G71. The update weighs differently depending on the device and iOS build you are coming from. It weighs around 520MB in size on the 12 and 13-series iPhones. Now when it comes to changes and new features, iOS 15.6 doesn’t bring any major changes except new Live Sports features. This is obvious because the iOS 16 beta was released last month and Apple will include new features on a major update rather than an incremental update. However, it comes with some minor changes which you can find below.

iOS 15.6 features – What’s New

TV app adds the option to restart a live sports game already in-progress and pause, rewind, or fast-forwardFixes an issue where Settings may continue to display that device storage is full even if it is availableFixes an issue that may cause braille devices to slow down or stop responding when navigating text in MailFixes an issue in Safari where a tab may revert back to a previous page

Along with these changes, iOS 15.6 also includes some fixes like storage bug fix, issues with Braille devices, and a few more. In case we find other changes we will add them to the list. You can also let us know about the new changes in the comment section. If you are on the iOS 15.5 Beta build you must have received the update. You can check for the update by going to Settings > General > Software Update. iOS 15.6 Release Candidate users do not need to upgrade since it is the same build. But if you want to, you can remove the beta profile from your device. Before updating your iPhone or iPad, make sure to charge it at 50% and take a backup.
