This is because Apple has already begun the iOS 18 beta testing, and all the exciting new features will be reserved for the new upcoming update. The new beta is available to everyone who is already on the first iOS 17.6 beta or has opted for the iOS 17 beta update. In case you are still on an iOS 17 build and want to try the beta, you can easily switch to the beta build in the Software Update settings. However, those who have already switched to iOS 18 and want to test iOS 17 have only one option: downgrade.
