Apple pushes the watchOS 9.6.1 with the API access fix for apps, rolling out with the 20U80 build number. It is a big upgrade and weighs a whopping 2.3GB of data to install. If your Apple Watch is running on watchOS 9.6, then you can easily upgrade to the incremental 9.6.1. Check out the release notes coming with today’s update. Moving to the watchOS 10 beta 6, then the update comes with the 21R45341c build number. It weighs 288MB in size, which is smaller than the fifth beta. The update is out for Apple Watch Series 4 and later models. Currently, it is limited to the developers, we can expect a new public beta release in a matter of time, which will also be the first public beta for the Apple Watch. As always, Apple didn’t mention any changes in the official release notes for today’s build, but we can expect bug fixes and system-wide enhancements. watchOS 10 Dev Beta 6
If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest version of iOS 17 developer beta six, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 10 beta on your Watch. Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, head over to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software. Now the watchOS 10 beta 6 will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart.
