Earlier today, Apple also shared some stats related to iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. As per the data, iPadOS 16 is installed on 50% of devices and iPadOS 15 is installed on 37% of devices. iOS 16 is adopted on 72% of devices and iOS 15 on 20% of devices. iPadOS 16.4 Beta 1 comes with the same build number as iOS 16.4 Beta 1 which is 20E5212f. Along with the iPadOS update, there’s a new update for iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS too. For compatibility, the iPadOS 16.4 is available for iPad 5th generation and newer models. Since Apple has already rolled out three big releases since iOS 16, we are not expecting many big changes in this beta run. But still, there will be some new features. As per initial impression the iPadOS 16.4 Beta 1 comes with Safari update which adds support for web push for home screen web apps, new emojis, badging API, focus support for Web push, add to home screen via third party browsers, screen wake lock, and more. If you want to test the new beta on your eligible iPad then you need to install the beta profile if it’s not already installed. If the beta profile is installed you can go to Settings > General > Software Update. And once the update is available tap Download and Install. Before installing the update make sure to backup important data and charge your phone to at least 50%. Explore More:
