Last week the iOS 15.7 release candidate was released alongside iOS 16 RC. This was surprising as Apple had not released any beta for iOS 15.7 prior to RC. Along with the iOS 15.7 update, Apple also released iPadOS 15.7, iOS 16, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, macOS Big Sur 11.7, and macOS Monterey 12.6. iOS 15.7 comes with build number 19H12. This build number is also the same for iPadOS 15.7. The update size varies depending on the build you’re coming from. In any case, it is recommended to use WiFi to update the iPhone. This is a minor update and the update page only says that it includes important security updates and is recommended for all users. Apple update page doesn’t cover much but they always come with some updates including small changes. So you can expect some changes in iOS 15.7 update. Now as you know iOS 16 and iOS 15.7 are out at the same time most iPhone users will choose iOS 16. iPhone SE, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, and iPhone 6s are not eligible for iOS 16 so if you own one of these five iPhones then you only have one update i.e. iOS 15.7. Users with new iPhones are also getting the choice to choose between iOS 15.7 and iOS 16. If you have eligible iPhones you can update to the new iOS version from Settings > General > Software Update. Once you see the update, you can tap the Download and Install button to get the iOS 15.7 update. Before updating your iPhone or iPad, make sure to charge it at 50% and take a backup. Also Check:
