Apple is pushing the new watchOS upgrade to the Apple Watch with a 20U5538d build number. It weighs 220MB in size, which is relatively smaller than the first beta. If your watch is already running on the first beta, then you can check the OTA inside the Software Update settings. The upgrade is available to everyone running on the watchOS 9 or later versions. If you are a developer, you can freely upgrade your watch to the watchOS 9.6 second beta. Following the previous trends, Apple didn’t mention anything in the release notes of the watchOS 9.6 second beta, but you can expect a few enhancements with this update. And as we are close to the watchOS 10 announcement, we can’t expect anything big with the incremental watchOS release. Here’s how you can upgrade your watch to the watchOS 9.6 beta.

If your iPhone is running on the latest iOS 16.6 first beta, then you can easily update your Apple Watch to the new watchOS 9.6 beta, all you need to do is, install the beta profile on your device and then update it over the air. Here’s how you can update your watch to the beta. Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, head over to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software. Now the watchOS 9.6 beta 2 update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart.
