Yesterday, Google showcased some of the new capabilities of Circle to Search and announced the expansion of the feature to more Android devices at its annual developer conference, Google I/O 24. Circle to Search can now help students with homework. Starting today, students will get step-by-step instructions to resolve physics and math word problems without leaving their digital info sheet or syllabus. Later this year, Circle to Search will handle more complex problems, including symbolic formulas, diagrams, and graphs. The feature was introduced early this year at the Samsung Unpacked event with the Galaxy S24 lineup. Later, Google rolled it out to Pixel phones, starting with the Pixel 8 series. Samsung is currently working on expanding the availability of Circle to Search through its incremental One UI 6.1 software upgrade. Google says the feature is now available on over 100 million Android devices worldwide. They plan to expand this to 200 million devices by the end of the year. A Galaxy S21 FE user on Reddit reported receiving Circle to Search days before the One UI 6.1 update was officially released. We can anticipate that it will also become available on more mid-range smartphones soon. We might see the feature arriving on devices like the Galaxy A34, A54, and various others. Additionally, expect the feature to extend to Nothing and OnePlus phones as well.
