This is because the wireless charger generates more heat which directly impacts the battery health. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use wireless charging. You can use it, however, try to use wired charging more than wireless charging. Also, it is advised to use the official wireless charger. Like the Pixel 8, the Pixel 9 doesn’t come with a charger in the box. You’ll need to buy a wired or wireless charger separately.
Can You Charge your Pixel 9 with a higher-watt charger?
Yes, you can charge your Pixel 9 device with a higher wattage charger, but it will charge the Pixel 9 at 12W only. It doesn’t matter if the charger supports more watts than the device. And if you use a charger with fewer watts than what Pixel 9 supports, the device will only charge at the speed of the charger (eg. 10W if the charger is maxed at 10 watts).
