Nowadays, having a fast charger is a necessity for most users. It not only saves time but also gives enough battery in an emergency. While other Android phone makers are moving to charging speed of 100W or more, Samsung and Google are sticking with average charging speeds. But what about the newly launched Pixel 9 series? Let’s find out.

Does the Pixel 9 series support fast charging?

Yes, all models in the Pixel 9 series come with fast wired charging support. But only the Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pro Fold come with notable fast charging improvements compared to the Pixel 8 series. Google still lags behind many other competitors in terms of charging speed. The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro only support 27W fast charging, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL supports up to 37W. The most premium phone in the lineup, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold can be fast charged between 21W – 30W. The first Pixel Fold came with 21W charging support.
