The iOS 14 can still take some time before it goes live to the public. And so Apple is preparing to give regular updates to users who don’t use Beta updates. And so they are going to release iOS 13.7 to the public as soon as next week. Although it doesn’t make sense to try iOS 13.7 Beta where we already have iOS 14 Beta 6 available. But rolling back is still a challenge so if you don’t want to jump directly to iOS 14 then you can try iOS 13.7 Beta 1.

The latest iOS 13.7 Beta 1 is available for all iOS 13 supported phones with developer beta profile. iOS 13.7 Beta 1 comes with software version 17H33. If we look into the build version from other beta updates then we will notice that for Beta the software version ends with some alphabet. So it is possible that it may be the GM that will roll out to the public as well with the same build version.

iOS 13.7 Beta 1 – Changes and Features

The beta update is available in big update size but there are no major changes. If we talk about Modem firmware then it is the same as iOS 13.6.1 which is available to the public. So we can not expect any changes in network and connectivity. Apple has not mentioned any new features or bug fixes in the release info. Even on exploring we didn’t find any new feature that we have not seen before. It comes with only one change which is in Exposure Notification that is already available in iOS 14 Beta 5 and Beta 6. The exposure notification is already available in iOS 13.6.1 but it requires a third party app to enable or disable. But now in the latest update, you can enable it directly from the settings. But we still need a third party app for more data. And it only works in supported regions. So this is the only new feature you get to see in the latest iOS 13.7 Beta 1 update if you are shifting from iOS 13.6. Now let’s jump into the installation guide.

Download and Install iOS 13.7 Beta 1

The update is available for all developers in all regions so you can directly install it on your phone. The only requirement is that the developer beta profile must be installed on your iPhone. It is only available to iOS 13 supported iPhones means all the iPhones released from iPhone SE will be supported. You can also install the update manually using iTunes or Finder in case you have the update file. But here in this guide, I will share the common and easy method which is safe and you will not lose any data.
