Last week the company also released iOS 14.2 GM build (now known as Release Candidate) for beta testers after a major bug started to appear on all iPhones and iPads on iOS 14.2 beta. And just after a week, Apple pushed the public stable iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2. The stable update comes with many changes and bug fixes that we will be covering in the changelog. Along with iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2, the company has also released iOS 12.4.9, macOS Catalina 10.15.7, watchOS 5.3.9, watchOS 7.1, tvOS 14.2, macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 Release Candidate, and HomePod 14.2. Download & Install iOS 14.2 & iPadOS 14.2

The update is available to the public which means everyone can install it on their iPhones and iPads. Beta testers have already received the update in the form of iOS 14.2 GM (Release Candidate) and iPadOS 14.2 GM. And this stable build is similar to the Golden Master edition so beta users do not have updates to this version if they want. But in case if you want to switch to a stable build you need to remove the beta profile from your iPad or iPhone. You can follow the below steps to remove the beta profile. If you are already in the stable build iOS 14.1 then you can simply head over to the Settings and Software Update section. It will display the latest iOS 14.2 update. Tap on Download and Install Button.

How to Remove Beta Profile from iPhone and iPad

After removing the beta profile you can follow the standard process to update i.e. Settings > General > Software Update. After reboot, you can use your Apple device with the latest iOS 14.2 or iPadOS 14.2 update. You can also install the updates manually with iTunes or Finder.
