Earlier, you may have read the news that Apple and Google are working on some projects, and it is the Covid-19 feature that we have seen in iOS 13.5 Beta 3. But in iOS 13.5 Beta 4, there are some changes because many users were cautious that this might track their data. This feature works with both iOS and Android phones, but it doesn’t store your private data like messages, contacts, and more. Both Apple and Google are big giant tech companies, and this feature may be the best feature for these times. We will discuss the changes later in this article. As usual, along with iOS 13.5 Beta 4, Apple has also released watchOS 6.2.5 Beta 4, tvOS 13.4.5 Beta 4, and iPadOS 13.5 Beta 4. The update comes with build number 17F5065a, and as we know, the ‘a’ in the last means final public stable release is not far. iOS 13.5 Beta 4 update size can vary device by device around 150MB. Also, there is no change in the modem, which means no update on WiFi and network. The update comes with some new features and bug fixes.
iOS 13.5 Beta 4 – Features
Covid-19 Exposure Logging – The feature was introduces in the last beta, but in the latest beta, they have changed Notification with Logging in the feature name. Also, now this feature comes with disable status by default, whereas it comes enabled by default in the last beta. It will work only if any Covid-19 related app installed on your iPhone. You can access this feature bu going to Settings > Privacy > Health. Share Medical ID – iOS 13.5 Beta 4 also comes with a new feature related to Medical ID. In this feature, an emergency contact will receive your Medical ID when it is dialed. In case if you have never used Medical ID, then you need to set up a Medical ID. You can access by going to Settings > Health > Medical ID. And in Medical ID, you can enable/disable the sharing option if you want.
Bug Fixes:
Fixes Bootloop – Some users reported the bootloop issues with the last beta, which keeps rebooting the device. But in iOS 13.5 Beta 4, it looks like the issue resolved, and users can normally power up the device. Fixed messages issue – Earlier, we have seen that the iPhone hangs when someone sends a series of some particular messages. And as reported by officials, the issues have been resolved.

If you are already using the iOS 13.5 beta 3 version or iPadOS 13.5 Beta 3, then you will get the update as OTA. But if your iPhone is running on a stable version, then first you have to apply for beta from the Apple beta official website. It will give you a beta profile that you can install on your iPhone or iPad. And after that, you will start receiving the Beta updates. The links given above are the OTA files that you can install on your iPhone running on iOS 13.5 Beta 3 & iPad running on iPadOS 13.5 Beta 3. So if you want the latest iOS 13.5 Beta 4, then the first preference will be to install the beta profile and update from settings. But if you don’t want to install the beta profile, then you might have to sideload the IPSW file or OTA file on your iPhone or iPad.
