Xiaomi has officially announced the much-awaited 12-series phones via an online event. Before moving to the wallpapers section, here’s your sneak peek at the specs of the smartphone. Starting from the front, then the OG Xiaomi 12 (and 12X) features a 6.28-inch Samsung-made AMOLED panel of 1080 X 2400 pixels resolution and a peak brightness of 110 nits. While the Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a premium 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display of 1440 X 3200 pixels resolution. Apart from that, these panels dawn an under-display optical fingerprint sensor. Both phones are running on MIUI 13 based Android 12 OS out-of-the-box. Xiaomi 12 line phones are available in two different RAM and storage options – 8GB / 12GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage onboard. In terms of optics, then the Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a triple-lens 50MP camera setup. Yes, it comes with a 50MP primary camera, 50MP ultra-wide-angle-lens, and a 50MP telephoto camera. The main sensor is the Sony’s IMX707 snapper with f/1.9 aperture, 1.22-micron pixel size, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS, and more features. On the front side, there’s a 32MP selfie shooter with a 0.7-micron pixel size. Xiaomi 12 and 12X come with a 4,500mAh battery and support 67W fast charging, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro boasts a 4,600mAh battery with a whopping 120W charging speed support. The smartphone is available in Black, Green, Blue, and Pink color options. Talking about the pricing, then the price of the Xiaomi 12 starts at CNY 3,699 (approx. $580 / ₹43,200), while the Global variant is priced at $749 (approx. ₹57,350 / CNY 4,772) and the 12 Pro at CNY 4,699 (approx. $738 / ₹54,900), global at $999 (approx. ₹76,400 / CNY 6,364).
