After a long hiatus, the game is finally back on iOS and Android via the Xbox cloud gaming service. And it’s free to play and doesn’t require you to purchase an Xbox Game Pass subscription. This is good news for Fortnite players who were not able to play this game after the takedown. After it was removed from the Play Store, Android users were still able to play it on their phones by sideloading. But for Apple users, it was not possible in any way. Thanks to Microsoft for bringing Fortnite on the cloud service which can be accessible from iPhones, iPads, and Android phones. This partnership between Epic Games and Microsoft gives hope to players and developers for future games. Xbox announced the Fortnite release on their official forum. Here’s a statement from Xbox Cloud Gaming VC. ‘As part of our mission to bring the joy and community of gaming to players wherever they are and to make gaming more accessible to people around the world, I’m excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Epic Games to make Fortnite available on supported browser-enabled devices for free with Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) in 26 countries.’ You could try the VPN for accessing from another country (Where Xbox cloud gaming is not available) but we are not sure it will work or not as we haven’t tested it personally.
