The tech titan states “The all-new Find My Device is rolling out to Android devices around the world, starting in the U.S. and Canada.” In the dedicated blog post, Google mentioned that Android device owners can locate lost devices by ringing them or viewing their location on a map in the Find My app even when they’re offline. Offline tracking is already available for some Samsung phones and now Google adopted it for Pixel phones. Apart from Samsung phones, the feature is available on Apple devices. For the time being, the offline device tracking feature remains limited to the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, which means you can still locate your phone even when the battery is dead for several hours. The next big feature coming to the Find My Device network is the ability to track everyday items inside the app, it will be available from next month. Chipolo and Pebblebee are the first to offer accessories compatible with the updated Find My app and technology. For nearby device tracking, the app gets a new button for the Find Nearby item, which helps to easily track the lost item. There’s another feature that allows you to share accessories with friends and family. You can make use of this feature to share your house key with your roommate or family and track it inside the app.
