Because Alexa can control it, it becomes clear why people want to have Blink security cameras. So, in this guide, we will show you how to connect your Blink camera to Alexa and what voice commands you can use to control your Blink security cameras.

Pre-requisites

Alexa App on Android or iOS Blink Home Monitor App on Android or iOS Both devices should be connected to same WiFi network

Set Up The Alexa App

Now, let’s take a look at what you need to do in the Alexa app.

First off, launch the Alexa app on your smartphone. Now, sign in with the same account that you have used to set up and control all your other Alexa-enabled smart devices.

If you want to connect your Blink camera to Alexa, I assume you already got the Blink camera and module installed and also completed the sign up process in the Blink Home Monitor app. If not, open the Blink Home Monitor app and sign in with your Blink account. And make sure the camera is linked to your Blink account.

If you want to initiate the process using the Blink Home Monitor app, you can follow this method. Here are the steps that you need to follow while using the Blink app to link it with the Alexa smart voice assistant. Once the code has been entered and verified,  the Alexa app will begin to discover or find your Blink security camera.

Once the cameras have been detected, the app will request that you set up a 4-digit voice code in case of some devices. This voice code when enabled lets you arm or disarm the security cameras by just giving voice commands to Alexa.
