Then, we sought an alternative with Screensaver Wonder, a freemium tool to create custom screensavers. This one worked perfectly and created a custom screensaver that appeared in the default Windows screensaver app and ran without errors. Screensaver Wonder supports Windows 11, so download and install it on your PC. Then repeat the following steps:Step 1: Launch Screensaver Wonder and click on Create video screensaver. Step 2: Browse and select your video file or multiple files, and click Next. Step 3: Type a name for the screensaver and click Next. Step 4: Click Finish, type a name for your screensaver, and click Save. Step 5: The Windows screensaver utility will launch. Select the newly created screensaver and click on Apply. Step 6: Click on OK and then close both the tools. Now, your custom screensaver will run after the default time. Note that all your screensaver will contain a watermark in the free version. We didn’t find it a big problem and suggest you create multiple free custom screensavers before the free trial runs out. In addition, you can edit the screensavers with more elements, including music and more videos or effects, using the Screen Wonder app. Wrapping Up Screensavers might appeal to a smaller audience, but Microsoft shouldn’t neglect it.
