It’s quite annoying to see many unread messages, as it’s not easy to go through each chat just to mark them as read. Also looking at these green message counts might make you think that you have got a new message. So whenever there are messages from contacts that are not important, you can mark their messages as read with Read All feature. When unread message notification piling up in the browser tab, it can annoy anyone. Also, it keeps flashing constantly which distracts from work. And when you check, you find messages you don’t want to read. And it’s a waste of time to go through those contacts to simply mark chats as read. So the “Read All” is going to be an useful feature for most WhatsApp users, especially those who get many messages frequently. As first reported by WAbetainfo, the Real All feature is currently rolling out to WhatsApp beta version 2.24.20.19 or above on the Android platform.
To mark all chats as read, all you need to do is tap the three dots in the WhatsApp homepage to bring Menu and then tap Read All. That’s it.
Yes, it’s just a two-second process, but pretty useful. You no longer need to actually read unread messages to mark them as read. Since the feature is rolling out in batches, I haven’t received it yet. But if the feature is available on your WhatsApp app, you can follow the mentioned step to mark your chats as read. Another relevant feature that has been around for many years which is pinning chats. So if you are not aware of the Pin feature, you can Pin up to 3 chats that will always appear on top 3. Touch and hold on a chat and then tap Pin icon. This is quite good feature to mark important contacts. WhatsApp Guides:
