If you get a million app notifications a day, and have become numb to the important ones, iOS 15’s Notification Summary feature is about to be your new favorite feature. Notification Summary will enable you to cancel out on what you might call your “Less-Important” apps, and receive a summary report of their notifications for you to review at a time of your own choosing. By default, iOS 15 will give you a Notification Summary and it will do it twice a day at 8am and 6pm, local time. And the notifications to be summarized come from apps like Mail and Facebook. It depends what you have installed, and it depends what apps you use, too. But without doing anything at all, you get this summary at those times. It’s like a regular notification, except much larger, and it summarizes all the relevant messages instead of giving them to you one at a time. These are what Apple describes as non-urgent notifications, and which you might call irritating. Here’s a step-by-step guide, explaining you how to set up Notification Summary:

Using Notification Summary
Using the Notification Summary feature is very simple. At the times you selected, you will receive a notification that contains a summary of the notifications from the apps you have selected to appear in the summary. If it’s past the scheduled time, the summary will show up as a small stack, otherwise it will be a large box. Just tap on the box or stack to expand the notifications and view them all, and tap on the (x) icon and then tap on Clear to delete the group of notifications. Throughout the day, notifications that go into your summary are not lost, the future summary box shows what’s coming up in your next scheduled summary. Enabling this feature doesn’t mean you’re going to actually miss any notifications; it only means that they will be collected silently.
Disable Notification Summary
