One new feature that has users particularly loved is a set of background sounds tailored for people who find them beneficial in helping to retain focus, maintain a self of calm and minimize distractions. Apple has given users the option to choose between six different types of sounds they can play in the background:

This is the brand-new Background Sounds feature which allows users to have environmental sounds playing in the background to keep them calm or to kill the dead silence.
How to enable Background Sounds in iOS 15
Instead of having its own app, the background sounds feature is hidden inside Accessibility settings for iPhone and iPad. While Siri commands don’t work with the feature, you can set up an Accessibility shortcut for Background Sounds or use Control Center to quickly access it too. Let’s take a look at how you can activate Background Sounds in iOS 15:
Enable Background Sounds using the Settings App:
Enable Background Sounds in the Control Center:
The fastest way to play/pause and change Background Sounds is with the Hearing tile in Control Center. The icon must be present in the control center by default. If, for whatever reason, the icon isn’t present, Go to Settings > Control Center > and then tap on the + icon next to Hearing.
Enable Background Sounds using the Accessibility Shortcut:
When trying to use Siri to play/pause Background Sounds, it pulls up random content in the Music app instead of the actual Background Sounds feature. And if Background Sounds are already playing, and you ask Siri to turn it off, Siri says, “There’s nothing playing.” However, you can set Background Sounds to be an Accessibility shortcut that’s activated by triple-clicking the iPhone’s side button: This is faster than using Control Center as the triple-click instantly turns Background Sounds on and off. According to Apple, the new sounds “continuously play in the background to mask unwanted environmental or external noise, and the sounds mix into or duck under other audio and system sounds.” That’s it.
