Using Crash Detection on iPhone and Apple Watch
Before we look at how the feature works and how you can enable it, you first need to know what devices are supported by the Crash Detection feature. Luckily, the feature is available on all four models of the iPhone 14 lineup and this year’s Apple Watch models. Here’s the complete list of compatible devices.

How Crash Detection Works
Crash Detection on the latest iPhone models and Apple Watch models works on various factors. Because your iPhone or Apple Watch is connected to the internet, it’s able to detect the speed of your vehicle, and then how it suddenly comes to a grounding halt within seconds. This is how it detects accidents right away. And then waits for a few seconds to see if you respond to the device. If you don’t, the device will dial in the emergency services and send them your location so that you can be reduced. Turn Crash Detection On or Off
Be default Crash Detection on your Apple iPhone and Apple Watch is always enabled. However, if you want to turn it off or plan to turn it back on, you can follow these steps Crash Detection on iPhone 14 Models
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.Scroll and select the Emergency SOS option.You can tap on the toggle to switch on or switch off Call After Severe Crash.
Crash Detection on Apple Watch
Install the latest version of the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.Launch the app and tap on the My Watch tab.Tap on emergency SOS and then finally tap to switch off or on the call After Severe Crash.
If and when the iPhone or Apple Watch detects that it’s in a crash, it will first wait for any input from your end. During this time, you will be able to cancel the emergency call manually. If there is no response whatsoever, your iPhone or Apple Watch will then begin to start an emergency SOS call. This takes place for twenty seconds after no input has been detected. If you want you can also drag the slider to make your iPhone or Apple watch contact the emergency services right away. Your Apple Watch or iPhone will also contact contacts that you might have added as emergency contacts. You can also set up a Medical ID with some of your important information that can be used by the emergency responders in case they need some data about you.
