When you open a theme in Pixel 8, there are predefined prompts and you get to change some words in prompts from available set of words. So Yes, the amount of prompts are limited in Pixel 8. Pixel 8’s AI Wallpaper Prompts in Midjourney
Midjourney is one of the popular AI models which is used for text to image generation. In the Midjourney we can enter prompt and it will generate images based on the prompt. And it has improved a lot in last one year. So we thought of a fun experiment. Google already showcased Generative AI wallpaper on Pixel 8 so we entered same prompt in Midjourney to see if it gives better results or not. Also not everyone has Pixel phones, so I will also share download links. Each time you enter same prompt, the output will be different and so we took the results from first try. Note: Pixel 8 AI Wallpapers are optimized for phones whereas in Midjourney the results are not optimized for phones. You can use aspect ratio to generate images based on your need.
1. A soft focus photo of flowers
Midjourney produces a colorful wallpaper which contains flowers but some are in focus and some are out of the focus. It doesn’t seem like perfectly accurate as per prompt but the result looks good which you should definitely try on your phone. Download Now
2. Abstract liquid wave in peach
In Pixel 8 this prompt produces a smog like wave in peach color and stays accurate as prompt. This time Midjourney did a bad job and only produced one good result which is also not closely matching the prompt. It produced 3d like smog which doesn’t look that good. What’s your opinion on this? 3. Half tone xray of a butterfly in orange
In this prompt I liked the results from Midjourney because it is more close to the prompt than Pixel 8 result. But out of the 4 result only two are good. The result with black background show x-ray butterfly in orange. Download Now
4. A house made of plants in indigo
It tried to produce high quality image but the results are not accurate as what we got to see in Pixel 8. The results show Indigo color houses with some plants here and there. If the prompt was plant in the house then it would have been correct. Download Now
5. An abstract image of pink clouds
Again it tries to create high quality results but divert from the accuracy. In comparison to Pixel 8, the results from Midjourney are not great. But it is a wallpaper material which looks great on home screen and lock screen. Download Now
6. An abstract image of teal chenille
The results are good as it provides fur like output matching the chenille fabric like its every thread is separate and the picture is taken from close distance like macro shots. The photos are a bit on a animated side but for a wallpaper, these are amazing. You will see the best output here. Download Now

As you know midjourney gives four results for a prompt, two of them were bad but two of them were good. Here’s the best one. Download Now

The result weren’t accurate as it didn’t even consider the term cream as the main focus was on the realistic result with dark mountains. However from the wallpaper point of view, the results look amazing. Download Now So these are 10 prompts I tried in Midjourney. I took these prompts from pre-defined prompts available in Pixel 8 AI Wallpaper feature. Midjourney is quite advanced and hence it produces quality wallpapers whereas the Pixel 8 is new and doesn’t provide high quality results like Midjourney. Pixel 8 is optimized for phone and there are limited predefined prompts the results from these prompts are accurate to the prompt. And yes they give same output everytime you generate from same prompt n Pixel 8 but it is not the case in Midjourney. The AI in Pixel 8 and Midjourney are quite different to each other.
