The new stories interface for Instagram is a bit different. Rather, I would say it is similar to the Stories interface that has been on Facebook for a long time. The new interface for Stories on Instagram will now have a rectangular cards carousel with the story visible. At the center of the story will be the person’s profile picture. To view the story, you simply tap on the rectangular card and watch the story. It seems like Instagram is testing this feature out for a limited number of users or devices. The feature which is in testing was spotted on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. In terms of the app version, I am using the Instagram Beta app with version number 328.0.0.0.86. Testing the same Instagram app on a device running on Android 12, the new Stories interface did not show up again. This is a feature that is being tested, so users on different devices might likely be getting this new Stories interface. It all makes sense as Meta is trying to bring the Stories interface for Instagram similar to the Stories interface that we have seen on Facebook. What do you think about this new stories interface for Instagram? Is it something that you like? Personally, it just feels like the stories section is simply going to be taking up extra space, have you got the updated stories to interface for your Instagram account?
