The second iOS 15 beta brings many changes that were presented to us in the launch event. And there are some features still not available which Apple will cover in coming beta updates. Apple mentioned that public testers will get the update in July, so we can expect the public beta rollout from beta 3 or they can also release it early starting with the iOS 15 Beta 2. Along with iOS 15 Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Beta 2, Apple also released tvOS 15 Beta 2, watchOS 8 Beta 2, and HomePod 15 Beta 2. The macOS next beta is not available yet. Both iOS 15 Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Beta 2 come with build number 19A5281h. And as expected the second weigh updates weigh more than 1GB.
iOS 15 Beta 2 Changes
Talking about new changes, there are many small changes you get to see in the second iOS 15 beta as well as iPadOS 15 beta 2. Apple maps now comes with a new icon. Focus is one of the features that was discussed in the event and now the changes are available in the second beta. It looks better now. You can now select which home screen and lock screen you want to show during the Focus mode. Yes you can customize the homescreen according to your need. Portraits are also available as watchOS face with the iOS 15 Beta 2. You can find it in the Face Gallery option. In FaceTime, SharePlay feature now comes enabled by default. You can now share easily during FaceTime. Follow iPhone option is also a new addition in the iOS 15 Beta 2 which is a part of Spatial Audio feature. New Emojis with clothing, Eyewear, and headwear options. You can customize emoji like a character in any game. There are a few more small changes you will notice during the use.
Download iOS 15 Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Beta 2
Both updates are now available for developers. Public beta testers can also get the update early, but if not then will have to wait for July which is when Apple will release the public beta officially. If your iPhone or iPad running iOS 15 beta and iPadOS 15 beta respectively, then you will get the OTA update. You can also check for updates manually by going to Settings > Software Update. But if you have not opted for the beta program then you will not receive the update. So, in that case, you can get the update by manually installing the update through PC or installing the beta profile. Install iOS 15 Beta Profile and iPadOS 15 Beta Profile
