Motorola is pushing the Android 14 software upgrade to Moto G Play (2024) with U1TF34.100-35 build number. Canadian mobile operator, Telus, confirmed the rollout is live for Edge (2022). The update is expected to reach both phones very soon. As it is a major OS upgrade, it requires a huge chunk of data for downloading, so make sure you have enough data and storage on your device. Motorola pushes the Android 14 update to its devices with features like lock screen customizations, monochrome themes with more color options, use your phone as a webcam, a new battery settings page, improved privacy and security, and more. Here’s the official Moto G Play (2024) Android 14 changelog shared by Verizon.
Introduces Android OS 14. Provides new versions of preloaded apps for a better user experience. Allows you to subscribe to the basic feature on the VVM app. Removes deprecated Demo Mode from Verizon showcase. Addressed an issue with Call ID in some scenarios.
If you reside in the US or Canada and own Moto Edge (2022) or Moto G Play (2024), then you can check the new update by navigating to Settings > System updates > Check for updates. It will also be available to the unlocked models very soon. If the update is not yet visible on your device, please wait for a few days. Make sure to take a backup before updating your phone. Also, charge your phone to at least 50% before updating the device.
