Nokia published the Android 11 rollout plan a while ago for Nokia phones. And according to the Roadmap, Nokia 8.1 gets the update a bit late as it was supposed to get before Q1 2021. But it’s not too late and Nokia 8.1 users will finally get to experience Android 11. Many Nokia users have been asking for the Android 11 for Nokia 8.1. And finally, it’s here, so if you have a Nokia 8.1, you can expect the update any time soon. As usual, the news has been shared on the official Nokia forum from their Staff Member. If you are aware of the Android updates from Nokia, then you know the OEM rollout update in waves. And the same is for Nokia 8.1 Android 11 update whose wave 1 is available. Today only 10% of Nokia 8.1 users will get the update from the mentioned regions. And by 10th April, 50% of Nokia 8.1 users will get the update. And everyone from the above regions will get the update by April 12th. If you have a Nokia 8.1, then you may have already received the update. But if not then you don’t have to wait much if your region is in the Wave 1 list. Sometimes users don’t receive updates through notification so make sure to check it manually by going to Settings > System > Software Update. Now coming to the new features, you can expect most of the stock Android 11 features. It is because Nokia phones come with Stock UI. Obviously, some features depend on hardware functionality. But you will get to experience most of the features such as chat bubbles, a new Notification panel with history, an improvised power menu with smart controls, enhanced privacy settings, and more.
