As per the information shared by Canadian mobile network carrier, Telus, Samsung will release the new software upgrade for these phones on September 17. The carrier didn’t mention the exact version details; instead, they referred to optimizations and security updates. They typically refer to incremental One UI updates as “optimizations and security updates.” Talking about the other regions, then we can expect Korea is going to be the first region to get a taste of the new software upgrade, followed by rollouts in Europe, India, and the U.S. If you own an unlocked model, your device will likely receive the update first, with carrier-locked devices following shortly after. In terms of features and changes, One UI 6.1.1 boasts several Galaxy AI features including Sketch to Image, Portrait Studio, voice-recorded integration to Samsung Notes, and more. For photography, the update brings support for ExpertRAW’s AstroPortrait feature, Instant Slo-Mo for HDR10+ videos, Live Effects, Motion Clipper, and more. If you own the Galaxy S23 Series device, Galaxy Z Flip 5 or Fold 6, you will receive the update over-the-air on your phone. You can also manually check for new updates by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
