Recently OnePlus has released security updates to its bunch of phones including OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 9RT, Nord N10, and more. And now it’s time for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. We believe the update is also rolling out to OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R but we don’t have any screenshots as of now. The new update for OnePlus 8 Pro comes with build number IN2021_11.C.20. And for the OnePlus 8, it will be the same except for the model number. Both the updates are rolling out in India, but they will be available in other regions soon. Although it is a minor incremental update, it weighs around 1.27GB. Now coming to changes, the C.20 update brings the May 2022 Android security patch along with other improvements. If you are a OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 8 Pro user in India, then you should get the update soon. The OTA update is rolling out in batches so for some users it can take time while some will get it early. You can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > About Device > Software Update and tap on check for update. If the update is available click on Download and Install.
