Magic Editor is a powerful editing tool that allows users to move, resize, or remove objects, apply preset or stylized effects like changing the color of the sky, and more with the help of AI. All this is now coming to eligible Android phones starting with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series. Don’t confuse it with Magic Eraser. Magic Eraser and many AI-related editing features are joining Magic Editor in this roll out. These features include Magic Eraser, Unblur, Portrait blur, Portrait light, Cinematic photos, Video effects, Sky suggestions, Color pop, HDR effect for photos & videos, and Styles in Collage editor. These AI features previously required a Google One subscription, but are now available for free, at least for now on Pixel Phones. The rollout was supposed to begin on May 15, so it’s a week late but it is finally appearing on Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 phones. And it can take time for complete roll out. You can try updating Google Photos app to increase your chances of getting these free feature quickly. Non-Pixel phones also going to get these features for free soon, with some limitations. Apart from Pixel users, Android and iOS users will get only 10 Magic Edits per month (for Magic Editor). To get unlimited edits, you will need 2TB+ Google One subscriptions. There are no limitations on other AI editing features. To get these free features, your device must be running on Android 8 and newer, or iOS 15 or newer. And device also needs to have at least 3GB of RAM. If you have a Chromebook, it must be Chromebook Plus running ChromeOS 118 or newer. Also Check:
