Realme 8 Pro was released this year with Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. And this will be the first major update for the device. Although the update is currently being rolled out in Early Access, the Realme 8 Pro will be one of the first Realme phones to receive stable Android 12 in a few months. In case you don’t know, Realme releases Early Access first and then Open Beta, and then Stable Update. So its public release is very far away but once the open beta is available, users will not have to wait much. As for the new features, you can expect most of the Realme UI 3.0 features that Realme mentioned during the announcement. Now there are also some pre-steps that you need to consider before applying for Android 12 Early Access on Realme 8 Pro.
Application start date: 17th December (Application will be accepted in batches)
Before applying for the Realme UI 3.0 Early Access, make sure your phone is running on the required version RMX3081_11.C.09. Also, ensure that your phone is not rooted. To apply for the Realme UI 3.0 Early Access on Realme 8 Pro, follow the mentioned steps:
Open Settings on your Realme GT Neo 2.Go to Software Update and tap on the Settings icon present in the top right corner.Next select Trial Versions > Early Access > Apply Now and submit your details.Once done, the Realme team will review the application. And if the application passes, Realme will push the update to your device.
Before updating your device to the early access update, take a full backup of your phone and also charge your phone to at least 50%. This will avoid any interruption in the update process. We only recommend applying for the Realme UI 3.0 only if you are using Realme 8 Pro as your secondary phone or if you don’t mind bugs. You can rollback your device to the Android 11 update from Android 12 Early Access, but it will require removing all data from the device. But after rollback you won’t be able to get Early Access. As of now, the rollback package is not available but you can check back for the package on the source page. If you’ve any queries, then make sure to leave a comment in the comment box.
