Test Drive Unlimited was announced during the Nacon Connect event that took place in July of 2020. Fast-forwarding to 2021, at this year’s Nacon Connect event, we got to see a new trailer for the game as well as the release date. The Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown game will be launching on 22 September 2022.

The new Test Drive Unlimited game is being developed by KT Racing and will be published by Nacon on various platforms. KT Racing is the same developer for most of the WRC FIA World Rally Championship games. Nacon is a French developer who has a bunch of new games expected to come out later this year or next year.

Test Drive Unlimited fans were shown a trailer earlier in April of this year. We get to see two cars, a glimpse of various keyfobs from different manufacturers, and a part of the Casino, indicating some bets that will be taking place in the game. Later during the Nacon Connect stream held in July, we got to see more cars, the world that it is set in, and more parts of the Casino. Test Drive Unlimited Sokar Crown Gameplay
The new TDU game is set up in Hong Kong that is set to a 1:1 scale. The game will be an open world with many areas to explore on-road and off-road. You can call Solar Crown an open-world racing MMO game. This means that we will be having an online multiplayer mode with a lot of people. The main highlights of the game are the clans. There are two clans in the game, the Streets and the Sharps. Both clans enjoy fancy cars and racing. However, both clans look to see a different view of the world and battle it out against each other. What does this mean for players? Well, you will be to choose a clan, compete with other players within the clan, and against the other clan to be on the top. We get to see how the city looks like at different times of the day and in different parts of the city. The city is filled with skyscrapers and various cars, including luxury ones racing around through the city. The nighttime view shows off the colorful streets of Hong Kong with a lot of neon signs. We could also be racing around through a port filled with shipping containers.

So far, the game will be available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, the Nintendo Switch, and on PC. It will be quite interesting to see how the game will perform on the Nintendo Switch, considering that you can play at a max of 720p. Of course, it would be even better to know if the game would show up on the various Cloud Gaming Platforms that are slowly getting popular. Well, with a lot of time left for the game to launch, we can hope to see some updates about it as well.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown System Requirements
We know that on the new PS5 and the Xbox Series X and S, you can play the game at 4K 120 FPS which is great, thanks to the faster and better hardware. When it comes to the PC side of things, the game listing on Steam does not show any system requirements yet and only displays as To Be Decided. Since we do not have actual gameplay footage yet, we can’t assume what system requirements are required to run the game on PC. It could be possible we get to see a glimpse of the gameplay hopefully during Gamescom 2021 that will be held from the 24th to 26th of August.
