Apple is pushing the new update to the eligible watch models with the 21U580 version number. As a small incremental upgrade, it has a download size of approximately 165MB. If your Apple Watch is running on watchOS 10 or 10.x, you can upgrade your watch to the incremental update. As it is a public release, it’s live for all users, you can simply head over to the Software Updates in the Watch app to check new updates. As we’re close to the public release of watchOS 11, we can’t expect new features coming to the watchOS 10. The release notes for the incremental update state, “This update fixes an issue that may prevent access to Apple Fitness+.”

watchOS 10.6.1 update

If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest version of iOS 17.6.1, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 10.6.1 on your Watch. Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, head over to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software. Now the watchOS 10.6.1 will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. After the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
