The newest incremental beta upgrade is labeled with the 10.0.22623.1255 version number. The two new builds are rolling to the insiders in the Windows Insider Program, insiders who were previously on the 22622 build will automatically get the 22623 build update through the enablement package. It will artificially bump up the build number. If you are on the 22621 build with new features turned off by default, then you can check for the updates and get an option to install the 22623 build. Moving to the changes, then the incremental beta is rolling with the anticipated Notepad update. Yes, the tabs update for Notepad finally lands on the beta channel with the 11.2301.17.0 version number. For fixes, the update addresses start opening behind the taskbar when opening using the touch keyboard and the taskbar disappears issue when switching from Task view to Win32 app. Apart from that, there’s a fix for the theming issue that pops up when selecting dropdown in Settings, a couple of fixes for how the Narrator was reading out content in Task Manager, and more. Taskbar & System Tray Fixed an issue where Start would open behind the taskbar when entering it while using the touch keyboard. Fixed an issue where the taskbar would disappear when switching from Task view to a Win32 app icon through the tablet-optimized taskbar. Task Manager Process names typed into the search box should no longer unexpected get spellchecked. Fixed a couple of issues with how Narrator was reading out content in Task Manager. Fixed an issue where the dropdowns in settings might not match your currently selected theme. When using search on the App History page, results should no longer suddenly disappear. If you open the Default Start Page dropdown in settings, clicking the Task Manager window should make the dropdown disappear now.
If you’ve joined the beta channel on Insider Preview Program and running on Windows 11, then you’ll receive the new beta on your PC. You can simply head over to Settings > Windows Update > click on Check for Updates. And from there you can simply install the update on your PC.
